Welcome

At Round Tower, the uniqueness and individuality of each and every child is valued and celebrated. We believe that children need to feel safe and happy in order to learn and we strive to create a nurturing and welcoming environment.

High quality learning and teaching are central to our ethos. Children have the opportunity to engage in creative and challenging learning both in and out of the classroom, developing knowledge alongside transferrable skills.

We endeavour to build, maintain and sustain positive relationships with and between all members of our school community. We seek to engage fully with parents and carers as well as external agencies so our children may meet their full potential, in turn becoming responsible, respectful and compassionate citizens

As an integrated school we aim to provide a learning environment where children from Catholic and Protestant backgrounds, as well as those of other faiths and none can learn with, from and about each other. We celebrate and value diversity and aim to provide a safe, happy and inclusive learning environment for all.

Thankyou all for the incredible support today at our PTA Coffee Event! The winner of the ‘Guess The Weight’ smaller pumpkin prize came from P7, who guessed 18.5kg, the exact weight of the pumpkin! The winner of the larger pumpkin prize went to a P6/7 pupil with a 22.46kg guess, the actual weight being 22.6kg!
We look forward to welcoming you to our Bake Sale tomorrow. Any final donations would be greatly appreciated, before 9.30am tomorrow. One of our P7s has been helping Mr Foster to grow pumpkins in our polytunnel and they’re now ready for a Guess the Weight competition on the day! There will be a pumpkin for the adults and one for the children. 50p per guess to school fund. Thankyou!
Thankyou for the donations today! We look forward to seeing you on Friday. Further donations of baked goods tomorrow would be greatly appreciated.
Thankyou to Mary's Meals for sharing the amazing work that they are doing with us at Assembly. We were able to hand over a cheque for £200 thanks to donations from our Dress Down Day, enough to buy 2000 meals for primary aged children! Well done also to our top Doodling classes and to our Stars of the Week!
We had a fantastic day at Stormont, learning about government and democracy in Northern Ireland. The children enjoyed a tour of Parliament Buildings, debates, presentations, the opportunity to meet an MLA and lunch at the ‘reconciliation’ statue.
P7 have been learning how to use a compass in outdoor learning, mapping out our outdoor area. We have also been focused on division with exchange in numeracy.
P7 have been taking their learning outside over the past week. The class have been learning about inference in literacy, creating freeze frames and thought tracks for the novel ‘Wonder,’ and creating some autumn themed clay work. We’re all hoping the nice weather continues!
