Round Tower Integrated Primary School and Nursery

About Round Tower

At Round Tower, the uniqueness and individuality of each and every child is valued and celebrated. We believe that children need to feel safe and happy in order to learn and we strive to create a nurturing and welcoming environment.

As an Integrated Primary School, we are intentional in our aim of achieving a balance of pupils, staff and governors from Protestant, Catholic and Other religious backgrounds along with those of no faith. We are Christian in character but welcoming of all faiths.

At Round Tower, we follow the NICIE Statement of Principles, which outlines the integrated ethos as follows:

The integrated school provides a learning environment where children and young people from Catholic and Protestant backgrounds, as well as those of other faiths and none, can learn with, from and about each other. The promotion of equality and good relations extends to everyone in the school and to their families regardless of their religious, cultural or social background. Integrated education is value driven and child centred. It is delivered through a holistic approach with an emphasis on developing every aspect of a child’s or young person’s potential.

High quality learning and teaching are central to our ethos. Children have the opportunity to engage in creative and challenging learning both in and out of the classroom, developing knowledge alongside transferrable skills.

We endeavour to build, maintain and sustain positive relationships with all members of our school community.

We seek to engage fully with parents and carers as well as external agencies so our children may meet their full potential, in turn becoming responsible, respectful and compassionate citizens.

We look forward to welcoming you to our school. Please don't hesitate to get in touch should you require further information.
